“Sigríður Soffía Níelsdóttir
Sigríður Soffía hefur á stuttum ferli sínum sýnt hæfni sem ekki er á færi margra nýútskrifaðra dansara eða danshöfunda. Í uppsetningu á verkinu White for decay fyrir Íslenska dansflokkinn setti Sigríður fram vel smíðað dansverk sem spilaði á marga tilfinningastrengi og hreif áhorfandann með sér. Sem dansari sýndi Sigríður svo, í tvíburadúett hennar og Lovísu Gunnarsdóttur í verkinu Skrímsli, einstaka karaktersköpun og ótrúlega dýpt í túlkun sinni. Auk þess er vert að minnast á áhrifaríkan söng hennar í óperu Barða Jóhannssonar Red Waters sem frumsýnd var í óperunni í Rouen í Frakklandi.”
