Ástralíufrumsýning Uniform Sierra/Uniform Sierra at ReelDance-biennial
Uniform Sierra sýnd í 13 stærstu borgum Ástralíu.
Stuttmynd Sigríðar Soffíu Uniform Sierra verður sýnd á opnunarkvöldi Reeldance-tvíæringsins föstudaginn 14 maí. Þar með byrjar Ástralíutúr myndarinnar en Uniform Sierra mun verða sýnd í 13 stæstu borgum Ástralíu í sumar en hátíðin endar í Nýja Sjálandi. Opnun kvikmyndahátíðarinnar verður haldin í Sydney en myndin verður m.a. sýnd í Brisbane, Melborne,Perth, Alice Springs, Darwin,Cairns. Adelaide…
Uniform Sierra er partur af alþjóðlegum hluta hátíðarinnar sem ber nafnið “We are not from here are you?” en þar eru m.a. stuttmyndir frá Suður Afríku, Mexíko, Kína, Argentínu og Bretlandi. Meðal listamanna sem eiga mynd í alþjóðlega hlutanum má helst nefna Cai Fei, Ballet Russes,Back to Back og Tim Shore.
Uniform Sierra var tekin upp á snæfellsnesi en í henni dansa Sigríður Soffía og Benjamin Khan sirkuslistamaður. Myndin hefur nú verið sýnd á festivölum í Noregi,Finnlandi,Íslandi og Spáni en hún var valin “Besta Stuttmynd” á Actfestival í Bilbao á spáni 2009.

The kick-off of the festival starts on friday in Sydney and will continue from there to the 13 major citys of austraila & end in New Zealand.
Uniform Sierra is a part of the international part of the festival named “We are not from here are you?” and will be screened in Sydney,Brisbane, Melborne,Perth, Alice Springs, Darwin,Cairns, Adelaide etc
The international part has a unique and varied selection of shorts spanning the deadly serious to the highly whimsical, travelling to us from countries including South Africa, Finland, Mexico, New Zealand, China, Germany, Argentina, USA and UK. Featured artists include Cai Fei, Back to Back, Daniel Belton, Dance North, Ballet Russes and UK artist Tim Shore.
Unifrom Sierra was filmed in Snæfellsnes in Iceland and features Sigríður Soffía Níelsdóttir dancer/choreographer and Benjamin Khan circusartist danceing in a hot spring but most of the film takes place under water.
Uniform Sierra has now been screened in Finnland, Norway, Iceland, Spain and was selected “Best film” at Actfestival Bilbao, Spain last year.
